Vaccinations

Every year the GGD (Gemeentelijke Gezondheidsdienst) assesses the health risks for Dutch citizens visiting foreign countries. The latest assessment ranks a visit to Saint Petersburg as a minor risk for Hepatitis A and DTP (Diphteria, Tetanus, Polio). We strongly advise you to take the necessary precautions if you will visit Saint Petersburg with us. Vaccinations can be obtained through the GGD via an appointment. If you are not vaccinated for Hepatitis A and/or DTP please let us know, we will try to arrange an appointment with the GGD to get everybody vaccinated at once. NB: If your health insurance does not provide refunding for these vaccinations, we will refund them for you. If this is the case please contact us.

Visa

There are several documents required to obtain a visa for Russia. Since this is a study trip it is possible to get a humanitarian visa which is only valid for the days we are visiting. The KBE committee is responsible for getting some of these documents and also for obtaining the visa by going to the VHS in The Hague and delivering all the passports and documents. However, we also require the participants to get some of the documents themselves. To do this, we've made a small guide which says what documents you need and how to obtain them. It will take maximally two weeks for the visa to be processed, after this the KBE committee will contact the participants so they can retrieve their passports.
